Greater Tulsa
Officials Association

The Greater Tulsa Officials Association is an organization with a long tradition. The group was formed more than thirty years ago to improve football officiating in the Tulsa area.

The GTOA is administered by seven (7) officers and one (1) assignment committee, all elected annually by its membership. The assignment committee of the GTOA is believed to be the only such committee in the State of Oklahoma.  An executive committee is appointed each year by the president.

GTOA has produced four (4) officials who have, or are still, officiating in the National Football League (NFL), numerous officials in the NCAA and one (1) officiating in Arena Football.

Many GTOA officials have graduated to the college ranks and have participated in NCAA football bowl games.

GTOA pioneered five-man football officiating in the State of Oklahoma and has had a positive influence on officiating by its representation on the Oklahoma State Officials Board of Directors, which is governed by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA).

The GTOA currently has a membership of approximately 300 officials. We have annual meetings beginning each year in July.  We encourage anyone interested in officiating to contact the association for further information.  New officials are fully trained as part of our Development Program with a veteran Training Crew.
